What We Collect

When you sign up for the Kemptville Creative Writers (KCW) newsletter, we only ask for:

• Your newsletter preferences (as well as whether you want weekly updates or not)

• Send meeting dates and event updates
• Deliver weekly newsletters (if you choose to receive them)
• Notify you about schedule changes or library closures
• Respond to questions you send us

We never sell your information or share it with other companies.

How Your Data Is Stored

• Your subscription details are kept in a secure Google Sheet.
• Emails are delivered through a secure email service.
• We regularly delete old spam/honeypot data.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• Active subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe
• Unsubscribed emails: deleted after 90 days
• Delivery logs: deleted after 30 days

Spam protection — Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our newsletter subscription form from spam and automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical information, including your IP address, browser information, connection characteristics, and information identifying our website, to distinguish human visitors from bots. Cloudflare also uses these signals to improve its bot detection capabilities.
